Lots of rocking blues characterizes an album dominated by Bryce Janey's guitar, which frequently veers toward crisp rhythms and less impressive flash.
The few slower numbers, including "Walk Away," display a bluesier edge and tighter moves on the fret board. A cover of Robert Johnson's "Love In Vain" fizzles, but the funk-a-thon "Say It Ain't Nothin'" adds another dimension to the album. - PJK
